The Righteous Hand of Hextor
Aggard-Beg is a mystical and enchanted forest Island far from the mainland.
Many who venture there have found themselves tricked and enchanted by the Pixies who call it home.
“Pixies are merry pranksters that love to lead travelers astray. They can, however, be roused to surprising ire when dealing with evil creatures. These sprites love to trick misers out of their wealth. They do not covet treasure themselves but use it to taunt and frustrate
greedy folk. If a victim of pixie pranks exhibits no greed or demonstrates a good sense of humor, the tricksters may allow the individual to choose a reward from their hoard.
Pixies wear bright clothing, often including a cap and shoes with curled and pointed toes.
A pixie stands about 2-1/2 feet tall and weighs about 30 pounds. Pixies speak Sylvan and Common, and may know other languages as well.”
They were left well alone until the Declaration of Purity in 1557. Coming out of their forests they swore to fight against that which they hate most, the spread of evil and it’s twisted allies.
The rest of the Forces of Light soon learnt that despite their trickery and fondness for humorous pranks, Pixies are devout followers of Ehlonna, the once great Goddess of the High-Elves who was cast aside in favour of Heironeous as their culture forgot the old ways.
Symbol of Ehlonna:
“Ehlonna watches over all good people who live in the forest, love the woodlands, or make their livelihood there. She likewise protects forests and woodlands from destruction or overuse Ehlonna exhorts her followers to live in harmony with their
woodland homes, taking only what they need. The bounty of the forest, Ehlonna teaches, is a gift to be cherished and appreciated, not a treasure to be coveted or looted”
The Pixies are a faithful ally to the Forces of Light although some friction remains between them and High Elves who seem bothered by their worship of their old Goddess.
Those who lack a sense of humour are also known to avoid working with Pixies.
Pixies are named after Old Irish names and the flavour of Pixies is very Irish in nature.
